Creating World-Class Performance

This showcase presentation shared learning gained from training successful UK teams in preparation for the World Skills Competitions, and as they prepare to finish in the top 5 in the 2011 London Games.

In order to increase in performance significant changes were made to the training given to competitors, training managers and training providers.

Many of these changes are transferable into graduate/organisational development. Re-Think shared an approach which enables organisations to create a stronger position to attract the highest caliber of graduates whilst also developing the skills of existing staff in areas that deliver business returns and individual effectiveness of their employees.

The workshop:

  • Briefly introduced the programme and implications for graduate development.

  • Highlighted the programme for Coaches, Mentors and Managers with connections for Graduate Development and Business Performance.

  • Gave time for shared group discussion to further draw out knowledge and experience in this area.
